Our Food

Ackee & Saltfish Dumpling

Ackee – the fruit was imported to The Caribbean from West Africa before 1725, as Ackee or Aki; but it is more widely eaten in Jamaica than anywhere else; and it has become Jamaica’s National Fruit.   Salted cod was originally imported into Jamaica as a cheap source of protein and it has become one of our staple foods.

Our delicious serving of Ackee and Saltfish (Jamaica’s National Dish) is beautifully cooked with patience, passion, purity and infused with fresh herbs and vegetables to complete this tasty delicious finger canapés style dish.  This can be shared as a starter, canapés, bar or lounge snack

Ackee Pear Cup ©

Pear or avocado is oval/egg-shaped (almost). It has a seed inside which is surrounded by a layer of flesh pulp and leathery skin that is easily peeled off when ripe. There are three types of Avocado; Mexican, Guatemalian and West Indian.  They are normally green except the Guatemalian fruit, which is brownish.  This fruit is a vegetarian heaven and it is very rich in potassium, Vitamin B, E, K and fibre.

Ackee & Saltfish – Freshly cooked and  beautifully prepared Ackee and Saltfish  not just make a great fresh tasty combo, but a great starter or breakfast meal – this is at the top of the pack for our starters – MUST TRY!  Ackee – Jamaica’s National Fruit is a winner every time and goes with anything.  Combine this (Ackee & Saltfish) with Avocado and you have a tasty exotic burst of fresh, salty and tasty starter to get you wanting more or to get you revved up for your mains!  Ackee & Saltfish is not called Jamaica’s National Dish for the sake of it… It’s GREAT!
